Alusia started cleaning between Fogkit's ears to calm the weak kit. "I'll be fine, Dusk, don't worry. Go get some sleep,we won't run away." She had no plans to do anything like that, "And I feel fell, no worries." She smiled at Stonekit, "Yes, I'm Alusia. Your sisters' names are Spottedkit and Fogkit, and your brother's name is Tigerkit."
Jayfeather walked in and mewed, "Morning. Did Cherrypaw bring you any borage yesterday?" He hadn't noticed any missing, and Alusia would need the herb. He could just give her more, but an overdose would be bad.

Dusk nodded and slowly turned and padded out of the nursers. He walked up to Snowfeather and sat down. "Am I needed for a Border or Hunting patrol?" He was hoping he wasn't so he could get a few hours a sleep in before hunting.
Cherrypaw padded into the nursery with a squirrel. Setting it down she smiled, "yes Jayfeather I brought it to her last night."
Stonekit looked at each of his siblings in turn. His gaze rested on Fogkit before going back to Alusia. "What's wrong with Fogkit? Is she sick?" He blinked his eyes and looked up at his mother.

Snowfeather started as Dusk walked up to her. She hadn't thought that he would come out of the nursery, but now he was here. She looked at him, he looked half dead, "No, get some sleep. I'll take the patrol today, don't worry." She was full of energy, she could go do that later, though. There was no patrol that needed to go out, yet.
Alusia nodded, "She did bring me some herbs, Jayfeather. I ate them all, too, so don't worry." She smiled, even though the gray cat couldn't see it. She looked at the squirrel, "That looks wonderful, Cherrypaw, thank you." She started eating, then stopped as Stonekit asked her something, "She is just a bit smaller than you, my dear. Cherrypaw and Jayfeather will help her grow bigger."
Jayfeather snorted, then walked back out of the nursery to go check on his stores.

Dusk nodded and slowly dragged his feet to his den. He was a sleep before his head hit the floor. He slept peacefully and dreamed of his newly born puppies.
Stonekit looked at Fogkit again and stumbled over to her and nudged her. "Come on wake up Fogkit. Don't you want to play?"
Fogkit mewed weekly and nuzzled closer to Alusia.
Stonekit frowned, "will the others be awake soon?"
Cherrypaw nodded and padded out of the den to let her and her kits get to know each other. She could tell Stonekit would be a handful already. She purred softly and went into the medicine den. "Jayfeather is anything wrong?"

Alusia smiled gently at Stonekit, "Leave her alone. She needs her rest, she isn't as strong as you are, not yet." She looked at the other kits, "I think these two may wake up soon, though."
Tigerkit opened his eyes and looked around. He could smell the warm, milky scent of his mother, and by the mews around him,one of his siblings was already awake.He turned his head and looked at the black and white kit, who was a bit smaller than him, "I'm up, you, thanks to your racket." He stood unsteadily on his paws and then looked at the tortoiseshell kit beside him. She was still sleeping, lucky her.

Stonekit frowned, why wasn't Fogkit strong like him. Was she going to die. The thought scared him and he felt protective of his little sister. Padding over to her he nuzzled her softly. "Don't worry I'll protect you Fogkit." Turning he heard the mew of his other brother. "It's about time you woke up Tigerkit. Let's play." He tackled his tail and tugged on it.
Fogkit felt horrible. She didn't even have the strength to talk or open her eyes. When she felt something nudge her softly she let out another week mew. She heard the voice of one of her brothers before drifting back to sleep.

Alusia smiled as she watched Stonekit. He and Fogkit would probably be very close, once Fogkit got stronger. She could see it already. She licked Fogkit's head with her raspy tongue, then proceeded to wash the kit's entire body.
Tigerkit watched Stonekit with Fogkit, the blue gray kit that was so weak, then nodded. He jumped at his brother, his tail accidentally flicking over Spottedkit's ear in the process.
Spottedkit woke up with a start as something brushed over her ear. She opened her eyes and looked around, noticing two tom kits play fighting. One of their tails had just flicked her ear. She snuggled closer to her mother and watched the battle progressing.

Fogkit was erased from Stonekit's mind for just a moment as he tackled his brother. He tugged on his ear and batted at his stomach with sheathed claws so they wouldn't hurt his brother. "Give up you aren't going to win," he cried. They where rolling over the floor getting closer to Spottedkit.
Stonekit felt the soft pelt of a kit against his back and froze up afraid it was Fogkit's. He didn't want to hurt her. Turning around he saw it was Spottedkit's and was relieved. He grabbed her to try and pull her into the play fight.

Spottedkit pushed the two fighters away from her with her hind legs as they threatened to roll onto her, "Go away, furballs." As Stonekit tried to pull her into the battle, she defended herself, using her strong hind lefg to kick him away. She didn't want to play, not with them.
Tigerkit shrugged his brother off of him, "You think?" He was bigger than his brother, that much was for sure. He battered his brother with soft paws. As Spottedkit didn't join, he ran over to help his brother pull her into the fray.
As Tigerkit joined in the assault on her, Spottedkit unsheathed her claws in warning.

Stonekit knelt to the ground and tackled her from the side. "Come on don't be a fluff brain. Join in," he mewed and grabbed her tail and tugged it. Non to gently, "come on if you don't play now I'll keep bugging you until you do," he purred and tugged her tail again.
Fogkit woke up hearing the yowling. She didn't feel any different but curiosity was getting to her. Slowly she opened her eyes. At first everything was blurry. But eventually she could see perfectly. And what she saw was her litter mates playing. She wished she was strong enough to play. But she barely had the energy to talk and drink let alone play.

Spottedkit hissed in annoyance, "I don't WANT to play with you." She really didn't, she would much rather go outside. She knew her mother wouldn't let her go, not yet. She would wait until Alusia was half asleep, then ask. She smiled at her plans, then snarled at Stonekit as he pulled on her tail, "Let go!"She flashed her teeth at him, snapping them together to show that she really wasn't joking.
Tigerkit snorted, "Fine, then. Who put thorns in your nest?" He looked at his brother, "Come on, Stonekit,let's go play over here."

Stonekit bared his teeth angrily, than turned and fallowed Tigerkit. As he turned he saw Fogkit had opened her eyes. He ran over to her and purred softly. "Alusia Fogkit opened her eyes," he called out to her. He licked his sisters ear. Maybe she was getting better. Maybe in a day or two she would be able to play with him. Of course he would have to be gentle with her but still they could play catch with a moss ball right?
Fogkit blinked as Stonekit padded up to her. She smiled weekly, and opened her mouth in a yawn. "Hello," she said in a tiny squeak.

Spottedkit sat up straight and watched them leave, glad to be left alone. As Fogkit woke up, though, she wandered over slowly, "Hi there." She felt protective of the small kit, she was so weak. She would keep an eye out for her, she promised herself. It wouldn't do to let one of the fur brains roll over her while they were fighting.
Alusia watched her kits, smiling. Stonekit and Spottedkit would take care of Fogkit, and Tigerkit would take care of them all, she thought. They would work together so well. Of course,it was only a mother's hope, but who knew?

Fogkit turned from Stonekit to Spottedkit."Morning Spottedkit," she mewed softly. Just talking that little bit had made her tired and hungry. She suckled for a little while before falling back asleep. But as she waited for sleep to catch up to her she wondered if she would ever be as strong as her siblings where. She hoped some day she to could play with them.
Stonekit purred softly and licked Fogkit's ear before turning and pouncing on Tigerkit and tackling him and pinning him to the ground. "Ha I got you by surprise you never even saw that coming did yea Tigerkit?" Grabbing his brothers ear he tugged on it and battered his sides with his back paws.

Spottedkit smiled warmly at her sickly, small sister, "Nice to see you awake, Fogkit." She watched her sister suckle for a while, her benevolent gaze limited only to the youngest of her siblings.
Tigerkit was squished into the hard earth that made up the floor of the den. He couldn't get up, no matter how hard he struggled. As soon as Stonekit let him up, he shook his fur clean and shook his head, "I sure didn't." He swung at Stonekit with his front paw, trying to get the black and white tom to release his ear. The tugging actually HURT, but he wouldn't tell Stonekit that.
